Karen is committed to the success of emerging growth companies bringing nearly 30 years of experience of proven deal execution and access to the people, resources and markets that are vital for success. During her career, she has been involved in securing more than $100B in investment capital. Prior to Quartz, Karen was a Partner and Managing Director in the investment banking division at BTIG, where she oversaw the firm’s Digital Health practice. Prior to her role in investment banking, Ms. Blando led the development and management of the equity research and strategy team, whose primary focus was healthcare and technology. Simultaneous to research, she developed and led the equity research sales division. Before BTIG, Karen spent nearly 20 years as an institutional equity salesperson, including management of the institutional division at Bank of America and Macquarie Capital. Earlier in her career, she held senior institutional sales roles at firms including Cowen and Company and Brown Brothers Harriman.
